An incredible sky for a September wedding in Northwest Montana.
More than one million acres have been burned in the 2017 fire season in Montana. The heavy smoke these have created have, for weeks, robbed us of blue skies and stars and the simple blessing of breathing easily. On Saturday, September 9, the skies cleared just a little I this is a collection of photo of the night sky that I've been missing, and the Sprague Fire in Glacier National Pakr.
Sunrises in Glacier National Park are unpredictable. The mountains can change the weather around them so swiftly. But even though there is no telling what conditions you may encounter, I would encourage anyone visiting Glacier to go before dawn. The Park is deserted and the solitude is immense and refreshing.
